The project involved a total refurbishment and extension of an existing, but tired frame. With a fixed structure that was poorly built, the refurbishment demanded a unique response to almost every room and space. The client's builders commenced work on-site prior to the completion of the contract documentation. I was assigned to this project to address all design and documentation needs as construction progressed. Some days, I resorted to drawing 1:1 scale sketches directly on the walls to instruct the builders on room details or junctions, as I couldn't produce drawings quickly enough. Despite the numerous challenges encountered, this project provided invaluable lessons and growth opportunities. I take great pride in my contribution to this project in Tonga.

A space is more than a sum of parts, continually coalescing with the environment to form its essence. This relationship is dynamic and reciprocal.

In shaping our environment, it, in turn, shapes us. This thought steers our philosophy of crafting eco-conscious dwellings, structures, and landscapes with the potential to enrich lives.
